Clive Frampton wins prestigious poultry award

Clive Frampton, Chairman of Framptons Limited, has been presented with a special award to honour his outstanding contribution to the British egg and poultry industry.
Framptons has been manufacturing egg products for more than 40 years, and the BPC/BOCM PAULS Award, which was founded in 1953 by the British Poultry Council (BPC), is the British poultry industry’s most prestigious accolade.

Clive, who is currently Chairman of the British Egg Products Association and of the European Egg Processors Association, and Treasurer of the British Egg Industry Council, has previously been President of the International Egg Commission (which is a worldwide body of the egg industry) and has held a number of other industry roles.  He has spent his entire working life and much of his childhood involved in the egg industry with the early days being involved in the family business in Street, and a period working with the British Egg Marketing Board during his degree, before joining his father Norman and brother, Paul, in the egg products operation at Shepton.

Peter Bradnock, Chairman of the BPC Award Committee said: “Clive has been a strong and passionate leader in the promotion of the British egg processing industry throughout his time in the business. His dedication, support and commitment has helped guide the egg industry through major market and structural changes that have enhanced its resilience and public stature.

“His forward-thinking attitude and outstanding communication skills have been significant in uniting the industry and providing for stability and growth for the future. Through his long and personal commitment here in the UK, in Europe and globally in the International Egg Commission, he has been a true ambassador for the egg industry, and a most worthy recipient of this award.”

Clive was presented with the award - a magnificent silver cup - at the Egg and Poultry Industry Conference Banquet on Monday 7th November 2011 at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel in Birmingham.
Framptons continues to manufacture egg products, including omelettes and liquid egg blends for the food service and manufacturing industries, and also contract packs smoothies, juices and milks for brand owners.
