We won the Environmental Achievement accolade at the EEF Awards, which took place at The Dorchester hotel in London on 3 February.Thanks to the culture within the business changing markedly over the last three years, with a rigorous focus on waste, changes in purchasing habits, separation of recyclable materials and improved energy conservation, Framptons has halved its carbon footprint and reduced waste to landfill by more than 80 per cent.

The judges of the EEF awards, which recognise excellence and reward world-class performance in innovation, enterprise, environmental responsibility and skills development, were particularly impressed with Framptons overall corporate responsibility initiatives that have seen the company lead the way in sustainability for the food industry.

Since March 2009 Framptons has won a National Business Award for Corporate Responsibility, a Food Manufacture Excellence Award, a Fast Growth Business Award for Green Business of the Year, a Somerset Business Award for Environmental Responsibility, two regional and one national EEF Awards.
